We here in Spokane, WA have just hit the 100's this week, but thankfully it cooled down to the mid 80's. We just had a "family reunion" with our 4 children + their spouses/fiances + 3 grandbabies this week so it was a happy crazy fun filled time for us all! It was the first time that all of us had been together since the birth of the 3 little ones last year so it was FUN to see the cousins playing together! I was in "grandma heaven" having everyone home finally! So many of you are "crazy busy" with end of the year school concerts and ceremonies, and making plans for your summer vacation! Remember you can take quilting with you when you hand piece or applique, embroider or even make yo yo's!
Thank you to Patricia in TX:
"Hope your quilt shows were good. I think we quilters take for granted the great vendors who go to so much trouble to provide us with good shopping opportunities - especially shops who travel from other states - y’all add a lot to the shows." It takes Tom and I approximately 8 hours to move our products into a facility and then set-up our booth; and about 3 hours to tear it down and pack it up so we appreciate your understanding of what it takes to be a vendor!
We have LOTS of changes coming this year for Flower Box Quilts! We are still in the process of designing a new website (which you're now reading this from); designing another scrap quilt book plus more patterns (9 NEW patterns have been added to this site); and offering smaller projects with wool felt, embroidery and cross stitch. Please check back often for our updates or look for our next email newsletter! I am beginning to branch out into teaching and would love to come to your quilt guild to lecture and teach!
Summer will give you time to piece and quilt indoors in the AC! Why not try a new quilt kit of ours?
My two latest quilt designs - template free - are in the September 2013 issue of The Quilter include Calypso, and Sweetie Pie.
