One of the FUN parts about being a quilt designer is working with new fabric collections! There are so many fabric designers and companies these days that it is hard to choose what to work with. Many companies are selling their fabric by having their sales people show digital images to their customers instead of actual fabric samples. And, many companies are then showing digitally created quilts to help sell the fabric instead of making actual quilts. It is a cost savings for everyone to do it this way as they don’t print the actual fabric until they have received orders for specific collections or colorways within a collection.
Here is a new collection called Chloe by P&B Textiles in two different colorways. It’s interesting to see how different colorways within the same collection can be similar but different. It’s just bright, cheery and “summery” to me! I am working on a project for a July magazine and haven’t decided which colorway to work with. Which one do you like best?
