Today is a grey, drippy fall day here in Spokane. Time to make comfort food – soup, applesauce, and quick breads! I am finally putting up my fall and Halloween decorations today! Although I have always loved to decorate for each holiday, it’s just not the same when the kids aren’t home. This photo was taken on a “lunch date” with my daughter, Kelly, on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho before she moved to Seattle. Kelly moved to Seattle 3 weeks ago after living at home for the last year after college. She took a great job with the American Cancer Society, is living with friends, and is happy! What more could a mom and dad want? It’s just quiet again in the house. Empty nest for sure now. Our sons, Kevin and David, just got new jobs in their fields in the last 2 weeks, also! Kevin took a sales job with Dell computers where he lives in Nashville, and his twin brother, David, got a job as a Recreation Specialist at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA. Praise the Lord! All my kids and daughter-in-laws have jobs!!
Tom and I had a fun dinner with our friends, George and Sheri, last night; and then went to see “Nights in Rodanthe”. If you like chick flicks, then you’ll love this one!
Ok, now back to the rest of the photos of quilts from the Kalispell show last weekend. Gosh, time flies, doesn’t it? These are appliqued quilts from the show. I hope my friends at the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Guild in Sequim, WA like the Sunbonnet Sue quilt as I took the photo for them!
