Explore the World of English Paper Piecing: Curved Shapes
Skill level: This is not for beginners; and some hand sewing experience with EPP shapes is required.
Class length: 3 hours
Class available as Live or Virtual
There are MANY different shapes that are used in creating designs with fabric and thread in EPP, and curved pieces with names like clamshell and apple core are FUN shapes to sew by themselves! Michele will teach you a quick and easy way to create EPP clam shells and apple cores using scraps! A short power point program on what you can make and do with curved pieces will be presented for inspiration.
For Project 1, learn to create a curved shape called a HEXDEN where 6 hexdens will be sewn from scraps, and then each will be sewn to a center hexagon to form a flower.
For Project 2, Michele will teach you how to make 9 individual fabric apple cores; and then sewn together to make a mug rug.
For Project 3, you will create 5 curved shapes called ice cream cones that are sewn together to make a flower.
