Pepper Cory comes to Spokane

As the V.P. in charge of speakers and workshops, I have the privilege to invite my quilting friends to speak at my quilt guild, Washington State Quilters – Spokane, here in Spokane. Two weeks ago Pepper Cory of Beaufort, N.C. came to our guild to present two lectures, and teach 3 classes. She was very well received, and all went well except the weather could have been a little warmer for our Southern friend.
Today’s photos were taken when she and I went to an antique quilt exhibit called “Quiltscapes” at our local museum that featured quilts from the 1800’s and early 1900’s. With Pepper’s background, viewing the exhibit was like having a personal quilt historian by my side.
The quilt above was used on all of the advertisement for the show.
Please stop back tomorrow for more photos of quilts from Pepper’s personal collection that she presented at her lecture. She is definitely a warm, humorous and interesting person!
