Growing up in Ohio the glowing leaves of maple tree leaves meant fall to me. Here in Washington we do not have as many maple trees, but there are many pine trees which provide “green” all year. Both the maple leaf and pine tree are traditional quilt blocks so I combined two of my favorite trees in this quilt. These blocks are pieced (not paper pieced) and go together with strip piecing and 3 pattern pieces. This quilt would look great as a wall hanging or even as a table topper during the fall season!
