Ah, can it be March already? We still have snow on the ground, and piles of it in our driveway! March to me means spring flowers, spring vacation, and March madness with all the basketball tournaments! It also means getting out in the yard to start to rake the soggy leaves we didn’t get picked up in the fall. Actually, Tom is a great gardener with green thumbs. I really only like to plant flowers (which here won’t be until mid-May at the earliest)! Being from Ohio we didn’t plant annuals until Memrorial Day while here in Eastern Washington you don’t plant until there isn’t any snow on Mica Peak.
Here’s a slice of happiness if you’re having a dismal and grey March day! I have been sewing away on new quilt projects, and just designed a baby quilt with a new collection to the right called Spring Fling by Free Spirit. These are definitely the colors of spring, Easter and babies! This quilt will be in the July issue of The Quilter which will be out in May.
Now back to work for me! I have much to do to get ready for the first quilt show of the year as a vendor coming up at the end of March. Happy quilting! Tell someone you love them!
